About the symbol
The logo of the Competition Authority conveys strength, weight and stability, which reflects the institution well as an authority with enforcement powers. With the logo, the Competition Authority officially adopts the acronym „SKE“, which has been associated with the institution for many years.
The core of the brand is this shape, which is an interpretation of the quote, „One is a monopoly, two is competition“. The shape symbolises the flow of markets and the shift from passive to active competition, from one choice to more for consumers, and from one route for market participants to several. The angular lines represent the laws and regulations by which the Competition Authority operates.
„The “Golden Ratio', or golden mean, is a special ratio found in nature, design and architecture, and can be traced back centuries to mathematicians. The golden ratio is 1.618 to 1 and creates forms and proportions that are balanced and appear natural to the human eye. There is a strong connection between law, rules and the golden ratio through balance, but the scales of justice form one of the oldest symbols of the legal profession.
