An appeal to the Appeals Board must be accompanied by an appeal fee of 200,000 kr., which shall be paid into the state treasury. If the appeal is successful, the fee will be refunded.  The Competition Appeals Board will not consider an appeal unless the appeal fee is paid. In accordance with the Competition Act, the Board's ruling must be issued within six weeks of the appeal. However, an appeal does not suspend the entry into force of the Competition Authority's decisions.

The Competition Appeals Tribunal shall consist of three members and an equal number of substitutes, appointed by the Secretary of State for Trade on the nomination of the Supreme Court. The chairman and their deputy, who shall also be the vice-chairman, must meet the qualifications for a Supreme Court judge, while the other members of the panel must have professional expertise in the field of competition and commercial law. The term of office of the Appeal Board shall be the same as the term of office of the Board of the Competition Authority.
