Anonymity

A party complaining to the Competition Authority and wishing to be a party to a case can request anonymity. If it appears likely that the interests of the party could be harmed if the name of the party were revealed, a request for anonymity will be respected. If there are no grounds for consenting to anonymity, the complainant is invited to withdraw the complaint. It should be noted that the option is always available of directing an anonymous complaint to the Competition Authority, e.g. through the Authority’s website.

Procedure

The Competition Authority’s Rules No. 880/2005 provide in detail for rules of procedure. Various procedural aspects are also discussed elsewhere on the website, including speed of proceedings, initiation of proceedings etc.
