

Victor Norman is a professor of economics at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). His research areas include international trade, industrial organisation and public sector reform. He was rector at NHH from 1999 to 2001. From 2001 to 2004 he was a cabinet minister in the Centre-Conservative coalition government in Norway, with (among other things) responsibility for competition policy. He is currently leader of a five-year research programme on the international economic crisis and its effects on restructuring and long-term growth in Western economies.
