Purchases of a majority stake in DS Solutions Ltd by Fagkaupa ehf

The Competition Authority has approved the acquisition by Fagkaup ehf. of a majority stake in DS lausnir ehf., which is a merger of undertakings in which Fagkaup ehf. acquires a 70.1% stake in DS lausnir ehf. The Competition Authority concluded that there are no indications that the merger will lead to the creation or strengthening of a dominant position, or that competition will otherwise be significantly impaired. The case is therefore closed at the first-phase stage.
