Purchase of NP Innovation AB by IS Haf Ltd.

The parties to the merger are IS Haf slhf. and the Swedish company NP Innovation AB. This concerns the acquisition by IS Haf slhf. of all the operations of NP Innovation AB. IS Haf slhf. is an investment fund that invests in marine-related activities. The fund is managed by Íslandssjóðir, which is owned by Íslandsbanki. NP Innovation AB is primarily engaged in the development, production and sale of cleaning equipment for fish farming. Upon investigation of the matter, and based on the available evidence, nothing has emerged to suggest that the parties' market share would be so high that a dominant position would be created or strengthened by the merger. On this basis, the Competition Authority does not see grounds to take action in relation to this merger.
