Merger of Jómfrúin Holding Company Ltd. and Snaps Ltd.

Samkeppniseftirlitið hefur haft til umfjöllunar samruna Jómfrúrinnar eignarhaldsfélags ehf. og Snaps ehf. Bæði félögin reka veitingastaði, annars vegar Jómfrúna og hins vegar Snaps. Jómfrúin eignarhaldsfélag ehf. hefur eignast 100% hlut í Snaps ehf. og fer því með yfirráð yfir félaginu í heild.

Following an investigation and having regard to the evidence, the Competition Authority is of the opinion that the merger will not prevent effective competition in the relevant markets and will not lead to the creation or strengthening of a dominant position. Furthermore, the merger does not otherwise lead to a significant distortion of competition in the market. Therefore, there are no grounds for action regarding the merger.
