Skeljungur and ODR receive a COVID-19 exemption to ensure access to fuel in all communities.

The Competition Authority has authorised a specific collaboration between Skeljungur and ODR, which allows the companies to temporarily assist each other with the distribution of fuel at locations where difficulties arise due to a shortage of staff, illness or other restrictions resulting from COVID-19.

The exemption is temporary and subject to conditions intended to ensure that the cooperation is limited to the urgent tasks that need to be addressed due to circumstances that may arise from COVID-19.

The decision includes an exemption from the competition law prohibition on cooperation between competitors.
