Purchase of Ankra ehf by Ölgerð Egils Skallagrímssonar hf

The Competition Authority approved Ölgerðin's acquisition of Ankra. The former company produces beverages and wholesales various food products, while the latter is a wholesaler and intermediary for collagen producers. Ölgerðin uses the collagen to produce the drink Collab. The authority concluded that this vertical merger would not significantly harm competition.
