Purchase by Myndform ehf of 50% shares in Þrjúbíói ehf from Sena ehf.

By letter from Einar Þór Sverrisson, solicitor, dated 28 October 2008, which was received by the Competition Authority on 3 November, it was notified that Myndform ehf. had acquired 50% of the total share capital in Þrjúbíói ehf., which had previously been wholly owned by Sena ehf. (hereinafter Sena). The letter was accompanied by information about the merger.

By letter from the Competition Authority, dated 2 December 2008, the parties were notified that the authority considered there was cause for a further investigation into the merger's effects on competition, pursuant to paragraph 4 of Article 17 of the Competition Act. The start of the competition authorities' 70-day period to take a position on the merger is therefore based on that date, pursuant to the same legal provision.
