Application for an exemption by Hreyfill Ltd. for the continued publication of maximum vehicle tax rates

The Competition Authority has been considering a request from Hreyfill svf. for a continued exemption for the publication of maximum taxi fares. Pursuant to section 15 of the Competition Act no. 44/2005, the current exemption, granted by decision of the Competition Authority no. 11/2019, has been extended until 1 April 2021. The authorisation was granted on certain conditions, while Parliament considers a bill to amend the law on hire cars. This decision will be reviewed should amendments to the aforementioned law be passed before 1 April 2021, i.e. before this exemption expires.
