Merger of B2B ehf. and Café Parísar

The Competition Authority has been reviewing the merger of B2B ehf. and Café Parísar. B2B ehf. is a company connected with the operation of several restaurants, and through this merger, B2B ehf. takes over the operation of Café París, which is also a restaurant.

Following an investigation and having regard to the evidence, the Competition Authority is of the opinion that the merger will not prevent effective competition in the relevant markets and will not lead to the creation or strengthening of a dominant position. Furthermore, the merger does not otherwise lead to a significant distortion of competition in the market. Therefore, there are no grounds for action regarding the merger.
