Merger of Kolka Holding Company Ltd. and Huppaís Ltd.

The Competition Authority was reviewing the merger of the holding companies Kolka ehf. and Huppuís ehf. Kolka is a holding company that owns shares in the ice cream manufacturer Emmessís and the wholesalers Nathan Olsen and Ekran. Huppuís operates five ice cream shops under the same name.

This concerns a vertical merger and following an investigation into the matter, the regulator concluded that there was no reason to intervene in the merger.
