Purchase of all shares in Tandri hf. by Sjávargrunnur ehf.

The Competition Authority has been reviewing the acquisition of all shares in Tandri hf. by Sjávargrunnur ehf. Tandri's operations consist of the import, production, sale and distribution of hygiene products to businesses and institutions throughout the country. The merging parties operate in unrelated markets, and neither increases its market share nor strengthens its position as a result of the merger. The Competition Authority considers that there is no reason to take action regarding this merger under Article 17 of the Competition Act.
