Breach by the Association of Employers in the Electrical and Computer Industry of Article 12, in relation to Article 10, of the Competition Act

Analysis

The Association of Employers in the Electrical and Computer Industry (SART) has reached a settlement with the Competition Authority, in which the association acknowledges breaching the prohibition clauses of competition law by issuing and applying rules of conduct for its member companies. The association agrees to pay administrative fines for this, as well as to comply with certain conditions. Under the settlement, SART agrees to pay a fine of four million krónur. In assessing the amount of the fine, the turnover of the association and its member companies was taken into account, in accordance with the second paragraph of Article 37 of the Competition Act.
