Merger of Draupnis Investment Company Ltd. and CP Reykjavikur Ltd.

 Samkeppniseftirlitið hefur haft til umfjöllunar samruna Draupnis fjárfestingarfélags ehf. og CP Reykjavíkur ehf. Draupnir er fjárfestingarfélag sem fer með yfirráð yfir Senu ehf. Sena rekur samstæðu sem starfar á mörkuðum fyrir afþreyingu til einstaklinga. CP Reykjavík starfar við ráðstefnuhald, umsjón með viðburðum og skipulagningu hvataferða. Um er að ræða samsteypusamruna þar sem Draupnir kaupir meirihluta hlutafjár í CP Reykjavík.

 Following an investigation and having regard to the evidence, the Competition Authority is of the opinion that the merger will not prevent effective competition in the relevant markets and will not lead to the creation or strengthening of a dominant position. Furthermore, the merger does not otherwise lead to a significant distortion of competition in the market. Therefore, there are no grounds to take action regarding the merger under Article 17(c) of the Competition Act No. 44/2005.
