The acquisition by Skeljungur hf. of Port I ehf., the holding company for Dælan ehf. and Löður ehf.

Samkeppniseftirlitið hefur haft til umfjöllunar kaup Skeljungs hf. á Port I ehf., eignarfélagi Dælunnar ehf. og Löðurs ehf. Samruninn var tilkynntur með svokallaðri lengri samrunaskrá þann 18. febrúar 2021.

Með bréfi dags. 24. mars 2021 tilkynnti Samkeppniseftirlitið samrunaaðilum að það teldi ástæðu til frekari rannsóknar á samkeppnislegum áhrifum samrunans, sbr. 1. mgr. 17. gr. d samkeppnislaga nr. 44/2005.

Following an investigation into the merger, the Competition Authority concluded that there was no reason for intervention, as there were no indications that a dominant position was being created or that the merger would otherwise lead to a significant distortion of competition.
