The Competition Authority investigated the acquisition by TT3 ehf. of all the shares in SRX ehf. (hereinafter „SRX“) and Ormsson ehf. (hereinafter „Ormsson“). SRX is an international product distribution company that wholesales electronic products, mainly mobile phones and electric scooters. Ormsson's main business is the import and sale of household appliances, televisions and audio equipment to consumers. The companies only partially operate in the same field, namely the market for the retail of small domestic appliances and the market for the retail of consumer electronics. The vertical overlap in activities on this market concerns only headphones. In the competition authority's view, its investigation of the case did not indicate that there was cause for intervention regarding the transaction.
