Reykjanesbær acquired a controlling stake in HS Veitur. HS Veitur is responsible for the distribution of hot and cold water, as well as electricity, in certain areas. Reykjanesbær is a local council. The Competition Authority did not consider it necessary to take action regarding the merger.
