Merger of Múlakaffi ehf., Dalsárós ehf. and Brúneggja ehf.

Samkeppniseftirlitið hefur haft til umfjöllunar samruna Múlakaffis ehf. og Dalsáróss ehf. annars vegar og Brúneggja ehf. hins vegar. Múlakaffi er fyrirtæki sem starfar aðallega við veitingarekstur, lítill rekstur er í Dalsárósi og Brúnegg er fyrirtæki sem starfar við eggjaframleiðslu. Með samruna þessum taka Múlakaffi og Dalsárós yfir rekstur Brúneggja.

Following an investigation and having regard to the evidence, the Competition Authority is of the opinion that the merger will not prevent effective competition in the relevant markets and will not lead to the creation or strengthening of a dominant position. Furthermore, the merger does not otherwise lead to a significant distortion of competition in the market. Therefore, there are no grounds for action regarding the merger.
