The acquisition by Edda slhf. of a stake in Pizza-Pizza ehf. and BHB Fasteignum ehf.

The Competition Authority has been reviewing the acquisition by Edda slhf. of a stake in Pizza-Pizza ehf. and BHB Fasteignum ehf. Edda slhf. is a professional investment fund managed by the investment firm Virðing hf. The acquired companies operate nineteen restaurants under the Domino's Pizza brand in Iceland. Virðing hf. also has control over several undertakings, within the meaning of competition law, through asset management agreements. None of these companies operates in the Domino's Pizza market, and the activities of the merging parties are therefore in different fields, meaning the merger does not lead to concentration in any market. Following an investigation, the Competition Authority has concluded that there is no reason to take action regarding this merger.
