The merger decision takes a position on the acquisition by Skel and Skeljung of Kletts sales and service. According to the merger parties, Kletts' activities consist of the sale and servicing of excavators, power units, generators, forklifts, batteries, mobile cranes, tyres, goods and passenger transport vehicles, gearboxes, propeller equipment, etc. The company is the agent for Scania and Caterpillar in Iceland, as well as for various other manufacturers. 

Klettur operates five service workshops in Reykjavík and one in Akureyri. In addition, the company runs a tyre workshop. The effects of the merger will be particularly felt in the market for the import and sale of lubricating oils and greases. The Competition Authority concluded that there were no grounds for intervention.
