The Competition Authority has been reviewing the acquisition by Crayon Group AS of all issued share capital in Sansa ehf. According to the merger notification, Crayon is a software services company, operating primarily in the sale and distribution of software and software asset management. (so-called SAM service). The merger filing further states that Sensa is an information technology service company that offers specialist services to businesses, namely training and consultancy on the use of cloud solutions, software development and off-the-shelf software solutions, operational services and hosting of communication and infrastructure solutions. Following an investigation and having regard to the evidence, the Competition Authority is of the opinion that the merger does not prevent effective competition and therefore does not result in the creation of a dominant position. Furthermore, it does not otherwise lead to a significant distortion of competition in the market. Therefore, there are no grounds to take action regarding the merger under Article 17(c) of the Competition Act No. 44/2005. |
