The Competition Authority's report on the Bill on a kilometre charge

The Competition Authority refers to the Bill on a vehicle kilometre charge, Parliamentary Document 123 – 123. matter. The Bill also proposes, among other things, the introduction of a per-kilometre charge for vehicles running on fossil fuels, which would be offset by the abolition of charges previously imposed on fuel. According to the explanatory memorandum to the bill, it is anticipated that these changes will be reflected in lower prices for individuals and businesses when purchasing fuel.
