The draft has been published for review on the Competition Authority's website.
With the amendments, the rules are updated in light of changes to competition law which came into force on 23 July this year, in addition to procedural changes in the handling of merger cases aimed at increased efficiency being formalised.
All interested parties were invited to submit views and suggestions on the draft, but the deadline for this expired on 5th December last.
The meeting will be held via video conference and will take place on Friday 11th December at 11 a.m.. Interested parties are given the opportunity to participate in discussions on the draft rules concerning notification and procedure in merger cases, thereby contributing to their further development, following up on their comments or putting forward further viewpoints.
Participants are kindly requested to register for the meeting by sending an email to samkeppni@samkeppni.is by 11:00 a.m. on 10 December. A link to the online meeting will be sent to all registered participants.
