OECD Guidelines on Public Procurement published in Icelandic

17 February 2026

Presented in more detail at a public meeting on competition and the public sector.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has published an Icelandic translation of its guidelines on combating collusion in public procurement on its website. The translation is available Here.

The OECD guidelines include, among other things, the following checklist:

  • A checklist for tender design, which outlines measures to organise and carry out procurement in order to reduce the risk of collusion.
  • A checklist to help tenderers spot indications of collusion in tenders.

The OECD Guidelines were revised in 2025.

The guidelines will be discussed in more detail at a public meeting on competition and the public sector, organised by the Competition Authority, the Cabinet Office and the OECD on 19 February 2026. Information about the meeting is available Here.
