Merger of M invest ehf. and Gólflagna ehf.

The Competition Authority approved the acquisition by M invest ehf. of all the shares in Gólflagnir ehf. M invest is the parent company of Iðnafl ehf. and Iðnafls eignarhaldsfélag ehf., the former of which operates, among other things, in the sale and installation of industrial flooring. Gólflagnir ehf. also operates in the sale and installation of industrial flooring. The Competition Authority found no reason for intervention or further investigation, particularly as the barriers to entry in the market for the installation of industrial flooring appear to be relatively low, and closed the case at the first-phase stage.
