The likely market for the matter is at least the sale and operation of organised tours, but the main business of the merging parties consists of organising tours and selling recreational activities to tourists in Iceland.
Arctic Adventures hf. offers a wide range of organised tours and activities through its subsidiaries. Examples of companies owned by Arctic Adventures include Into the Glacier ehf., which specialises in glacier cave tours, and Straumhvarf ehf. The latter offers all kinds of recreational and adventure tours across the country, primarily for foreign tourists. ST Holding ehf. is the owner, among other things, of the tour operator Special Tours ehf. and the Whales of Iceland museum. The company's activities mainly consist of whale watching, RIB boat tours, bird watching by boat and related activities.
