The Competition Authority has now published a publication. No. 6/2024 , Market analysis – market for commercial property rental. The document contains an analysis of the commercial property rental market.
The analysis is based primarily on the merger investigations conducted by the Competition Authority during the winter of 2023 to 2024 in cases that were closed without a decision concerning proposed mergers between property companies that did not materialise.
The studies in question were thorough, including data collection by the Competition Authority on the activities of property companies and their competition.
In light of the Competition Authority's role under competition law and for guidance, the market analysis is published in the hope that it will be useful to market participants and other interested parties. The publication also contains guidance for property companies and their advisers. The discussion of the competitive conditions in the market within the analysis is as they were at the time the research was conducted.
