The Competition Authority is handling the merger between TVG Zimsen, Eimskip and Cargo Express.
Cargo Express primarily sells freight forwarding services by air, whereas TVG Zimsen and Eimskip provide a wider range of freight forwarding services, particularly sea freight and freight forwarding brokerage. The announcement regarding the merger, in which the companies describe the merger and competition from their perspective, is available here.
All interested parties are hereby given the opportunity to submit comments on the merger, such as its potential effects on competition, conditions in the transport markets, and on other matters that the reviewer may wish to bring to the attention of the Competition Authority regarding the merger or the competitive situation.
Reviews should be sent by email to gogn@samkeppni.is or through „Send data“at the top of the Competition Authority's website. The first phase of the investigation concludes on 12 June, and comments are therefore requested by that date.
