The Competition Authority's Breakfast Meeting – The Impact of Competition on Economic Growth and Wages

On the occasion of the meeting of the Nordic competition authorities, holds
The Competition Authority's open morning seminar on the impact of competition on economic growth and the labour market.
Wednesday, 31st August. The meeting starts at 08:30, with breakfast at 08:15.

At the meeting, Fiona Scott Morton will discuss how competition can enhance
economic growth and improved wages for the general public. This is an urgent issue in light of
the economic challenges that most countries are grappling with today.

Fiona is a professor of economics at Yale University in the United States and she has
a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Fiona has focused on competition economics.
in her research, in addition to which she worked for a time as chief economist for the competition department
the United States Department of Justice, which, among other things, is responsible for the enforcement of domestic laws
