Economics students – Summer job at the Competition Authority

The Competition Authority
is looking for an economics student to work this summer. The person will in their work
They work with the organisation's chief economist and specialists.

Key responsibilities and duties

  • Assistance for the organisation's specialists
  • Data collection, statistical analysis and writing
  • Participation in other dynamic work
    The Competition Authority's Economics Department

Competency requirements

  • At least a two-year course in economics
  • A good command of quantitative research methods and their application.
    Software for statistical analysis and data processing
  • Good analytical skills and an organised approach to work
  • Proactive problem-solving
  • Communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to express oneself orally and in writing
  • Excellent knowledge of Icelandic and English

Salary
in accordance with the current collective agreement concluded by the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Economic Affairs.
