The Competition Authority is looking for a proactive and organised summer intern for the organisation's operations department. The main responsibilities would be to work on the documentation, classification and finalisation of the organisation's older cases; to register and classify the organisation's library; and to assist with the arrangement and organisation of the archives, as well as helping with other ad hoc tasks within the operations department. The post-holder would take over a project that was started in 2007 but has been on hold for the past two years.
A basic education in Library and Information Science is desirable, but not a requirement. However, it is essential that the candidate has an understanding of, and an interest in, the classification and arrangement of documents. In addition to subject knowledge, the candidate must be organised, able to work independently, possess good interpersonal skills, and be able to take initiative.
Interested applicants are advised to apply for this position by sending an email to Hilmar Thordarson or apply online Job.is or Labour Office.
