The Challenge of the Card Service Answered

The media has reported that Kortaþjónustan Ltd. has urged the Competition Authority to refer Valitor Ltd.'s abuse of a dominant market position and breach of a previous decision, as addressed in the authority's recent decision, to the police., No. 8/2013.The Competition Authority has responded to this submission from the Card Service, see the letter published here. It is pointed out, among other things, that there is no basis for reporting the relevant offence to the police, as no penalty is provided for it under the law.
