
On 28 January 2015, the Competition Authority announced on its website that the merger of Skipta hf. and Síminn hf. had been approved. The basis for the collaboration is that the parties have entered into a settlement with the Competition Authority to comply with detailed conditions, including to increase the independence of Míla ehf., in order to prevent the merger from distorting competition in the telecommunications market.
