
In light of media coverage of the Competition Authority's investigation into the Milk Marketing Board, the following should be noted:
The Competition Authority is now investigating Microsoft's alleged abuse of its dominant market position, but the Competition Appeals Board instructed the authority to investigate the matter further, as MS had failed to provide the authority with important evidence during the previous investigation. Furthermore, the matter of why the aforementioned data was not submitted to the authority during the previous investigation is now under review, as withholding information from the authority can be subject to penalties. The investigation by the supervisory authority is progressing well and is being accelerated as much as possible.
