
The Minister of Industry and Trade has appointed Auður Finnbogadóttir as chair of the board of the Competition Authority, in place of Kristín Haraldsdóttir, who resigned from the board. The appointment is effective from 1 December 2015 to 26 August 2017.
Auður holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado in the United States and an MBA from the University of Reykjavík. She has a diverse range of professional experience and has served on the board of numerous companies.
The Minister has now appointed Eyvind G. Gunnarsson to the main board of the Competition Authority, where he has served on its reserve board, and Ingvi Má Pálsson, an office manager, and Jóhanna Katrín Magnúsdóttir, a lawyer, as deputy members of the Authority's board.
