
On Tuesday, 20 September, the Competition Authority will hold an open meeting, pursuant to paragraph 2 of Article 8. Regulation No 490/2013, on the competitive conditions in fuel markets. The meeting is part of the ongoing market study on the fuel market.
The meeting will address the views that have been raised following the Competition Authority's preliminary assessment report, which was published in December last year. The differing perspectives of stakeholders will be examined in more detail, and the competitive conditions in foreign fuel markets will be outlined. Daði Már Kristófersson, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Iceland, will chair the panel discussion.
