The competition authorities in Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland have launched a collaboration with the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE), which is one of the world's leading economics departments in the field of industrial economics.
Through the collaboration, staff of the Competition Authority will gain access to the extensive knowledge of TSE researchers in the application of economic methods to the resolution of competition matters. The collaboration will also include workshops where issues will be discussed across borders and academic disciplines.
The aim of the cooperation is to enhance competition surveillance and strengthen the work of competition authorities.
„Cooperation with the academic community is extremely important to the Competition Authority. We look forward to tackling complex economic issues with some of the world's leading economists and thereby strengthening the work of the institution.".“ Valur Þráinsson, Chief Economist of the Competition Authority.
