The autumn meeting of the Nordic competition authorities was held in Bergen this week. At the meeting, the competition authorities celebrated the 60th anniversary of Nordic cooperation in this field.
On this occasion, addressed Margrethe Vestager, the European Union's competition commissioner, was found. She addressed the rapid changes currently underway, with the ever-increasing digitalisation of business. It was not a given that the public would fully enjoy the benefits of these changes. The prerequisite for this was effective competition, and it was therefore more important than ever for competition authorities to monitor and intervene when necessary.
At the meeting, the Nordic competition authorities discussed these changes in business life in more detail and how they could make their cooperation in this area even closer.
