Christine Meyer is head of the Norwegian Competition Authority. She has a PhD in strategy with mergers and acquisitions as her field of specialization. Meyer has a background as professor of strategy and is currently on leave from the Norwegian School of Economics. Meyer has also been a politician, she was a junior minister in the Ministry for Labour and Administration from 2001 to 2003 and commissioner for finance and then health from 2007 to 2010 in Bergen city government.
